Last Saturday was held the first "Marché des Fêtes" in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, a fundraising event for the Coeur d'Amélie Foundation. Edmundston Honda was on site to support this good cause.
A great community initiative at which our parts clerk, Randy Deschênes and his spouse got involved: "Participation was excellent, it shows that people care for this cause."
About twenty artisans and exhibitors from the region have come together for this cause.
According to the event's organizer, Céline Ouellette, the event was a great success: "More than 1,300 dollars was raised thanks to the participation of the community and our exhibitors."
For the management of Edmundston Honda, community involvement is a must: "When an employee gets involved in a cause such as" The Coeur d'Amélie Foundation ", it is difficult not to support him. Therefore, contributing was important to us." said Elaine Albert, General Manager of Edmundston Honda.
The non-profit organization notably plans for 2022 to set up a free summer camp for kids aged 6 to 17: we'll split the group in half, the 6 to 12 years old will have their week and the 13 to 17 years old will have theirs." mentioned miss Ouellette.
Multiple activities are scheduled for the kids : first aid, self esteem and forest survival classes mixed with a lot of activities for everyone, whether they are in need or not.
The Coeur d'Amélie's Foundation aims to enrich the well-being of children under four priority areas: education (including scholarships), sports and recreation, community involvement and food security.
